Gym sessions

As it gets too dark to paddle on the water in the evening we offer fitness and strength training in the gym upstairs in the club building on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.00 p.m.

Any club member is welcome from 8 years old to adults and from any discipline. The sessions are run by club coaches and consists of a run, strength work using light weights and core exercises, all aimed at improving paddling technique and strength.

In the past we have found that winter training in the gym is great for increasing fitness and has benefitted paddlers when on the water.
